Drink Water for Healthy Skin

By: Eric Minden

Everyone knows that drinking water is good for your body, but did you know that water is also good for your skin? Water makes up 70% of your body and 90% of your blood. So it is no wonder that water would be good for your skin too.

When you take a shower more than once a day and wash with soap or body wash, your skin begins to dry out. Even though your soap says it will moisturize your skin when you use it, the truth is that it just dries out even more. This is because soap moisturizes while your skin is still wet, once you get out of the shower and dry off the soap and your skin dries out.

Drinking soda instead of water will also help in drying out your skin. This is due to the high amounts of sugar and caffeine. If you are a soda drinker, then try something that is almost guaranteed to work, for every soda you drink offset it with a glass of water. In other words, if you drink sodas while eating, then drink a glass of water after you eat. This will help break the sugar intake of your soda and help hydrate your skin.

We have all seen the commercials advertising facial creams and moisturizes, and every type of body lotion imaginable. Before you go spend a small fortune on these items, ask your self if there are any other ways that you can rejuvenate your skin, for little or no money at all. Well, there is, drinking water with every meal and throughout the day will help. Also, taking in some natural oils will help in reviving your skin.
